Understanding LGBT2+

LGBT2+ is an inclusive term that stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Two-Spirit, with the “+” symbol representing additional sexual orientations and gender identities. Using LGBT2+ ensures that everyone in the community feels seen and acknowledged.

The Meaning of Two-Spirit

Two-Spirit is a term used by some Indigenous peoples to describe a person who embodies both masculine and feminine spirits. Recognizing Two-Spirit identities highlights the importance of Indigenous traditions and their unique role in the wider LGBT2+ community.
